Native species such as Neem, Jamun, and Mango not only enhance biodiversity but also provide sustainable livelihoods through fruits and medicinal value. Planting trees is a simple, powerful step towards healthier communities and a resilient environment.

In line with its commitment to climate action, the CII Foundation, in partnership with PTC India Financial Services Limited launched a tree plantation initiative in rural Gurugram, Haryana. Launched on World Environment Day, 5 June 2024, the initiative seeks to mitigate the impact of air pollution, enhance carbon sequestration, and promote biodiversity through community-driven afforestation efforts.

This initiative is part of CII Foundation’s broader climate resilience strategy, with an emphasis on urban engagement and environmental stewardship.
